When you love Nudibranchs so much, you smell them....
Peltodoris nobilis, commonly referred to as the Sea Lemon Nudibranch, is a species found in the eastern Pacific Ocean from Alaska to Baja California. This nudibranch is variable in color, from a very pale yellow to a dark orange but they always have white gills. There are a number of dark spots on the dorsum, but never on the tubercles themselves. This Nudibranch can grow to be as large as 8” (20cm) in length.
So why make a candle inspired by these adorable Nudibranchs? Well, they have a secret.They smell like CITRUS! They produce an odorous secretion to repel other organisms which has been commonly described as smelling like citrus. Pretty dang cool Nudis if you ask me!
