When you love Nudibranchs so much, you smell them....
Hooded Nudibranch (Melibe leonina) is a species of nudibranch found from Alaska to Baja California. They are commonly found on seagrass and blades of kelp from the lower intertidal region all the way down to 37 meters.
So why make a candle inspired by this strange looking Nudibranch? Well, they have a secret - they smell like WATERMELON! They produce an odorous secretion to repel other organisms which has been commonly described as smelling like watermelon. Pretty dang cool!
Note: No Nudibranchs were harmed in the making of these candles!
